  • Street Life City President Nyne Millirachi Officially Signs Hip Hop Producer “We-Amazin” To His SLC Imprint

           The complexion of hip hop will change dramatically with just the signing of a pen and paper. It’s official ladies, gentlemen and Mensaholics of all ages; Nyne Milli has signed one of the best hip-hop producers and beat makers in the East Coast: We-Amazin. The West African-born Queens native has been in love with music since his early teen years. There wasn’t much resources and activities back home in his village, however We-Amazin overcame the struggles and the hardships of poverty.

    One day, he came across a band from Paris that played live instruments. Fascinated with their technique, We-Amazin got acquainted with the band members. The Parisian band flew him out to France where he stayed to learn how to play piano, violin, drums, and saxophone.  However, We-Amazin wanted to pursue his musical dreams even further, so he flew out to the United States and moved to Queens, NY. Fascinated with the NYC hip-hop culture, We-Amazin bought himself DJ equipment and a midi keyboard. He studied the style, and little by little, taught himself how to create hip-hop beats. He would listen to some of the best hip-hop beats in America, and then re-create the sound with a different instrument until he got really got it down right. He reached the point where he could re-create any beat and make it sound ten times better than the original and perfected his own signature sound.

           Nyne Milli was looking through YouTube and SoundCloud for hip-hop instrumentals to record for his Millirachi Season mixtapes when he came across one particular beat that was re-created by We-Amazin. Impressed by the work of art, Nyne Milli reached out to We-Amazin and proposed working together because he was impressed with his incredible style. We-Amazin agreed, and the rest was history. We-Amazin was in talks for a production deal that ended up not turning out the way he expected, so Nyne Milli offered him a more lucrative position at Street Life City. The SLC President has been attending label meetings on a weekly basis, and one thing Nyne has promised all of his Mensaholics is that when he’s ready to sign the multi-million dollar distribution deal for Street Life City, We-Amazin and Sman will be included.

    Expect big things from this up-and-coming producer. Look out Swizz Beats, Dr. Dre and Pharrell–there’s a new sheriff in town, and his name is We-Amazin.

    In the article, McIntyre wrote that Minaj was “oddly quiet for months” even though she has released “Looking A*s Ni*ga”, “Chiraq”, “Yasss B*tch” and numerous features in the past 3 months. After laughing it off, Minaj explains Forbes’ role:

  • Chinese Couple Arrested And Shut Down By The Feds After The FDA Discovers A Massive Load Of Rodents In Their Facility.

    A popular Asian/Chinese restaurant bistro here in Atlanta was closed down this morning after authorities received a tip that the owner was accepting shipments of rats and mice from a vendor to prepare in his dishes. The owner and his wife were arrested early this morning and charges are not known at this time. After a full search of the kitchen, authorities found, packaged rats, mice, kittens, puppies and a large frozen hawk.

    The restaurant is a popular gathering spot for local celebrities such as Whitney Houston and husband Bobby Brown, Jermaine Dupree, Janet Jackson, Usher, Monica, Puffy, TI, Ludacris, Lil Jon, Toni Braxton, TLC and others. The restaurant has locations off Peachtree Road and Alpharetta near North Pointe Mall.

    I guess the rumor is true about the Chinese cooking. The myths of rats, cats and dogs has finally come to the light. Now will this prevent people from ordering Chinese food, most likely not!, but dont say I didnt try to provide you guys with useful information.

    While the rapper continues to serve his time in prison for a gun possession charge, the rapper’s team tweeted Thursday afternoon his plan to write a novella about his life.

    “I’m writing a novel about my life “The Diary of a Trap God”….” the tweet says.

    No major details have been released, but the novel will most likely tell the story of the rapper’s beginnings to the rise of his trap music in hip hop.

    Video footage has been released chronicling the theft of over $40,000 in designer handbags from a Neiman Marcus in Tampa’s International Plaza last weekend.

    In the video a man can be seen entering the store, speaking with a sales associate and looking at a few bags. Once a couple bags have been brought out for him to consider the man grabs the purses and runs off into the parking lot and away from the store. The crazy part is that what’s presumed to be the same man, returns the next day and does the same thing. This time grabbing some purses on a display and pulling more from a rack on the way out.

    Uninsured Woman With Huge Stomach Tumor Turned Away From Hospitals

    The widely-circulated story of an uninsured Georgia woman who was turned away by 4 hospital that refused to treat her growing beach ball-sized tumorwithout payment is finally getting a happy ending.

    In two months, a tumor inside the belly of Doris Lewis has blown up to the size of a beach ball.

    The 59-year-old woman from the Atlanta area says she is in excruciating pain from the massive, invasive mass pressing against her organs and pushing against her heart.

    She’s had no medical insurance since her husband died a few years back, and has been trying to find a carrier ever since, she said.  But she had no idea at first about what was going on inside her. “I thought I was just gaining weight,” she said.

    Then her abdomen began swelling at an alarming pace. In eight weeks, the benign tumor had pushed her belly button inside out and left her looking like a hugely pregnant woman.  That’s when she started going to hospitals.

    “Some of the guys looked at me and said ‘You got a tumor in there. That is so big. ‘Bout to pop,”’ she said. But none of the hospitals would operate on her because she had no insurance, the Newton County resident said.

    Eventually, the pain got so bad she called 911, and was taken Emory University Hospital Midtown. That’s where she finally got some good news.

    The doctor who examined her said she will get the surgery she needs, no matter her lack of insurance.

    “He said ‘you will see a doctor without money,”’ Lewis told the station.

    She will go under the knife June 10. “It would feel great, now, if I could get it out today. Right now. It would be a blessing,” she said.

    It’s a shame that this woman had to go to 5 hospitals before anyone would help her. Kudos to the hospital that finally stepped up and did the right thing.

    A 3-month-old girl is in critical condition after her mother allegedly stabbed her, according to investigators. Natasha Deann Townsend, 31, is being held at the Metro Jail without bond, charged with the attempted murder of her daughter. Police were called to a home around 10:45 p.m. Saturday. They found the mother, as well as the girl, who had suffered apparent stab wounds.

    Promise Shorter, a neighbor, said Townsend does not live at the home, but one of her relatives does. Shorter said she noticed many police cars at the home Saturday night. “There was over 30-40 police cars out there,” she said. “If anybody had pulled through, you would have thought all hell would have broke through on this street.”

    Investigators said Townsend bought a butcher knife at a Walmart store and injured the baby at another location before taking the child to her home. They believe the woman’s intention was to kill the child and then herself.

    Shorter said she was shocked to learn about the stabbing. She remembered Townsend as a popular girl in high school. “Everybody thought she was beautiful and intelligent and came from a good home,” said Shorter. “The community needs to pray for them.”

    The girl was taken to a hospital in Birmingham for further treatment. Police are still investigating the incident.

    Crazy, you never know what the hell is going on with people. We hope the baby recovers from this tragic incident.

    California Man Facing Life In Prison For Skype Sex Sessions With Underaged Girl

     

    By the time the 15-year-old girl’s dad realized that something was going on, she had already participated in several online video sex sessions with a man who was nearly twice her age.

    Federal agents from Homeland Security Investigations say a North Lauderdale man “met” the San Francisco teen in September using an anonymous online chatting site called Omegle.

    They then began communicating on Skype, using the video-conferencing, online chat and instant messaging features of the free communications app.

    When the girl’s father became suspicious and took her phone in November, he printed out “approximately 143 pages” of sexually explicit online chats between the two, which he turned over to San Francisco police and Homeland Security Investigations agents in South Florida and California.

    On Monday in federal court in Fort Lauderdale, Marckenson Chery, who turns 29 this week, pleaded not guilty to one federal charge of enticement of a minor.

    Agents said that Chery persuaded the alleged victim, who was not identified in court records, to use her smart phone to engage in video sex with him, urging her to masturbate, show him her naked body and watch him while he masturbated and ejaculated.

    The girl told Chery — who she knew only as “Marcus,” and by his Skype name “Swag likeus Robinson” — that she was 15, and he told her that he was 21, she later told investigators. She said she reminded him how old she was several times during the two months that they communicated.

    Chery’s lawyer, Joshua Fisher, said he did not want to comment on the allegations until he has an opportunity to review the evidence against his client. If convicted, Chery could face between 10 years and life in prison, and a $250,000 fine.

    Though Skype and Omegle — which uses the promotional line “Talk to Strangers!” — were the apps used in this case, Joe Trias, the deputy special agent in charge of Homeland Security Investigations in South Florida, said that criminals can use any number of similar apps to make inappropriate contact with children and teens.

    (Street Life City News) In what was expected to be a conversation featuring an apologetic Donald Sterling, the billionaire owner used the forum to also lash out further at basketball legend and businessman Magic Johnson.

    CNN’s Anderson Cooper got an exclusive interview with Sterling who was caught on tape making racially insensitive statements about minorities and Johnson in particular. The Los Angeles Clippers owner did offer an apology for his controversial comments, but then turned his attention to attacking Magic and the fact he is HIV positive.

    “He acts so holy. He made love to every girl in every city in America, and he had AIDS, and when he had those AIDS, I went to my synagogue and I prayed for him, I hope he could live and be well. I didn’t criticize him. I could have. Is he an example for children?” said Sterling.

    Cooper corrected Sterling that Johnson does not have full-blown AIDS but does have the virus that causes the disease. That did no stop Sterling from continuing his rant against the Hall Of Famer.

    “What kind of a guy goes to every city, has sex with every girl, then he catches HIV? Is that someone we want to respect and tell our kids about?” asked Sterling. “I think he should be ashamed of himself. I think he should go into the background. But what does he do for the black people? He doesn’t do anything.”

    Sterling also claims Johnson originally said he would support him after the media firestorm over his remarks began which is why he waited to speak publicly about the situation.

    “Wait, be patient, I’ll help you, we’ll work it out,” Sterling alleges he was told by Magic.

    Johnson went on Twitter to make it clear he is done addressing Sterling.

    Sterling’s CNN interview was criticized by others associated with NBA including Commissioner Adam Silver, Clippers coach Doc Rivers, and Clippers interim CEO Dick Parsons.

    (Street Life City News) As news outlets report both Donald Sterling and his wife Shelly set up legal fights to keep control of the Los Angeles Clippers, the NBA has announced Richard Parsons as the interim CEO of the franchise.

    “I believe the hiring of Dick Parsons will bring extraordinary leadership and immediate stability to the Clippers organization,” said NBA commissioner Adam Silver in a statement. “Dick’s credentials as a proven chief executive speak for themselves and I am extremely grateful he accepted this responsibility.”

    Parsons is the former chairman at Citigroup and Time Warner. He also served on President Barack Obama’s economic advisory team and is currently a senior advisor at Providence Equity Partners.

    “Like most Americans, I have been deeply troubled by the pain the Clippers’ team, fans and partners have endured,” added Parsons. “A lifelong fan of the NBA, I am firmly committed to the values and principles it is defending, and I completely support Adam’s leadership in navigating the challenges facing the team and the league.

  • Here’s How the Legal Battle Between Donald Sterling and the NBA Could Go Down

    As the NBA continues it efforts to remove L.A. Clippers owner Donald Sterling from the league, we’re starting to get a better understanding of the legal strategy they will deploy against him. The biggest weapon in their arsenal: Sterling signed moral and ethical contracts with the NBA. The NBA will be using these contracts in conjunction with its constitution and by-laws to force the Clippers’ owner to sell his team. However, Sterling is still likely to sue to hang on and it could get messy. 

    The league’s constitution provides the mechanism for removing an owner if the owner “fail(s) or refuse(s) to fulfill its contractual obligations to the Association.”  In that event, the other owners can vote to force a sale of the team, the threshold is 75 percent agreement. The owner’s finance committee (consisting of ten owners) has already unanimously agreed that it will vote to force the sale. The full Board of Governors vote is expected in mid-May. 

    It is expected that Donald Sterling will fight the forced sale, even if the 75 percent vote passes. He’s a billionaire, so he has ample resources to take on the NBA’s legal team. A source close to him has said, “He’ll sue and it’ll take years to settle.” Sterling’s defense will likely be based on Article 13(a) in the league’s constitution, which states: 

    “The Membership of a Member or the interest of any Owner may be terminated by a vote of three fourths (3/4) of the Board of Governors if the Member or Owner shall do or suffer any of the following:

    (a) Willfully violate any of the provisions of the Constitution and By-Laws, resolutions, or agreements of the Association.”

    Sterling will likely argue that his actions were not “willful.” The recording that was his undoing was obtained illegally, and leaked without his consent. California is atwo-party consent state, meaning “California makes it a crime to record or eavesdrop on any confidential communication, including a private conversation or telephone call, without the consent of all parties to the conversation.”

    In the event Sterling does begin a legal battle, the NBA could take several courses. They could try to battle the lawsuit based on Article 14(j), which states:

    “The decisions of the Association made in accordance with the foregoing procedure shall be final, binding, and conclusive, and each Member and Owner waives any and all recourse to any court of law to review any such decision.”

    If that tactic does not work, the NBA could use their secret weapon: the moral and ethical contracts. When Sterling purchased the Clippers in 1981, he signed a version of a morality contract, and has signed amended versions since then. According to asource that spoke with ESPN, the contract “states that an owner will not take any position or action that will materially and adversely affect a team or the league.” The morality clause states “that [Sterling] will be upheld to the highest standard of ethical and moral behavior.” In the event Sterling sues the NBA, it will be up to the court to determine the meaning of “willful,” adverse actions and “ethical and moral behavior.” 

    There is also the legal issue of the Clipper’s co-owner, who happens to be Sterling’s estranged wife. The Clippers are part of the Sterling family trust, of which Shelly Sterling owns half, according to California state law. 

    She has been supporting the actions of the league, issuing this statement: “I spoke with Commissioner Adam Silver this week to tell him that I fully supported his recent swift and decisive action. We also agreed at that time that, as a next step, both the league and the team should work together to find some fresh, accomplished executive leadership for the Clippers. I welcome his active involvement in the search for a person of the utmost character, proven excellence and a commitment to promoting equality and inclusiveness.” The Clippers’ team president Andy Roeser stepped down on Tuesday, which she also supported. Considering her support of the Commissioner’s decision, it is unlikely she will intervene in the sale.

    On the other hand, she could actually sue Donald Sterling to take independent control of her half of the Clippers, meaning then Donald Sterling would only have to sell half of the team. She could make the argument that Sterling’s actions have damaged the value of the team (which they very well may have.) If a court sees fit, they could divide the assets so her half can be sold at a later time, for a better price. If Mrs. Sterling pursues a case against her husband, as she has with his alleged mistress, she could hold up the actions of the league. There is also the chance that the NBA could define a forced sale as passing 100% ownership from the Sterling family trust to just Shelly Sterling. 

    Of course, Donald Sterling could also choose to go peacefully, but we won’t hold our breath.

    Dr. Dre and Tyrese celebrated Beats’ big deal with Apple with a few Instagram videos Thursday night.

    If you haven’t heard, the legendary producer sold Beats to Apple for $3.2 billion. Dre owns somewhere around 20 to 25 percent of the company, and after capital gains taxes, the Compton native will be upping his net worth to around $800 million — not quite billionaire status.

    Tyrese celebrated with Dr. Dre and friends as they bragged about the big payout.

    “The first billionaire in Hip Hop,” Dre says. “Right here from the motherf******* West Coast.”

    According to Forbes, this will be Apple’s biggest purchase yet. They will also own Beats Music, the subscription streaming service, along with the high end headphones. Beats Music is one of iTunes’ biggest competitors which makes this a smart move for Apple.

    The deal isn’t closed just yet, but according to Dr. Dre it’s pretty close. Take a look at the mini celebration above.

    In an interview with the Ricky Smiley Morning Show, the musician talks about his beef with Stevie J. During Wednesday’s episode of Love And Hip Hop Atlanta, the two almost came to blows over Mimi’s sex tape.

    While Stevie J believes Nikko leaked the footage, Mimi is sure that the tapes were stolen from Nikko. Since the two were unable settle their beef, Nikko has challenged the producer to a match via Pay Per View.

    “Stevie J is throwing a lot of darts at me,” he said. “He’s throwing a lot of hatred at me but what I wanna do is separate the boys from the men.
