Fourth Graders Caught Selling Pot On Playground

Even fourth-graders are celebrating legalized weed in Colorado.

Four 10-year-olds were busted for buying and selling pot they stole from relatives, officials at Greeley-Evans School District 6 said after the pre-teens brought smokable and edible forms of the now-legal drug to Greeley’s Monfort Elementary School this week.

One boy sold the green, leafy buds to two other boys and a girl on Monday.

“He sold it to three other fourth graders on the school playground, which resulted in a profit to the young man of $11,” John Gates, director of safety and security for the district, told ABC News.

One of the buyers then brought a weed-laced treat on Tuesday in an effort to trade the edible for the pure pot.

Don’t think this is the type of education that parents want their kids to get.

Another student alerted school officials to the schoolyard dealings.

Both children apparently took the drugs from their respective grandparents. As of Jan. 1, pot is legal to buy in Colorado for adults over 21.

“This could not have happened had they secured their marijuana,” Gates said. “Nothing good’s going to come from having 10-year-olds find it, use it or take it to school.”

The kids are likely to be suspended for a “signifcant” amount of time, Gates told ABC.

Suspension is better than felony charges.

Much of Colorado’s experiment with legalized weed has been positive, including the estimated millions in tax dollars the state will collect from the sale of the drug.

But a founder of Smart Colorado, a group dedicated to exposing the negative effects the drug has on children, says it’s not all good.

“Pot is celebrated and glorified and promoted. Kids are watching adults and this is the way adults are behaving,” Gina Carbone told The Associated Press. “Here we have 4ths graders trying to make a buck off marijuana.”

Not for nothin’, but the parents who smoke legal bubba kush are the same ones who were smoking illegal bubba kush, so it’s hard to say that legalization influences kids anymore than they were already.

Nine-year-old Willie Myrick from Atlanta, Georgia was kidnapped earlier this month from his driveway and driven around for over three hours. During the three hour ordeal, Myrick sang Hezekiah Walker’s “Every Priase”. According to Myrick, he was eventually released following his singing demonstration and told to not tell anyone of what occurred.

Last Thursday (April 16th), community leaders at Mt. Carmel Baptist Church held a meeting to celebrate Myrick’s heroic ordeal. Walker appeared during the event to speak directly with the boy who used his song to save his own life.

Woman Charged With Criminal Transmission Of HIV After Spitting On Cop

An out-of-control Florida woman reportedly known to “have diseases” will have her day in court after she spit on a police officer during an arrest.

Last Thursday, police arrested 53-year-old Lybette Dunn on charges of trespassing, and obstructing traffic by standing in the road. But after Dunn spit toward the front seat while sitting in the back of the police car, she was charge with criminal transmission of HIV, too, and reportedly put in jail.

Per the Broward County Police report:

“The spit struck the back of my neck, right side of my face, right arm, and throughout the interior of my vehicle. After dealing with the defendant through arrest [sic] defendant is known to have multiple diseases. This exposure was report [sic] to the on-duty supervisor, and this Deputy was treated for said exposure.”

HIV cannot be transmitted through saliva, which is why the sorts of offenses listed in the state HIV transmission statute include sexual acts that would involve the transmission of semen, or violent acts that would involve the transmission of blood.

But this is not the first time individuals have faced severe criminal punishment for allegedly HIV-infected spit. In Texas, a man is serving a 35-year prison sentence after his saliva was deemed a deadly weapon. And an HIV-positive man in Michigan faced a bio-terrorism charge for allegedly biting a neighbor, although the charge was later dropped.

Of all the disrespectful things someone could do to another person, spitting on them HAS to be the most disgusting.

Georgia Governor Nathan Deal Signs Safe Carry Protection Act

Georgia Gov. Nathan Deal (R) signed a sweeping gun rights bill on Wednesday.

House Bill 60, also known as The Safe Carry Protection Act, will allow licensed gun owners to carry their firearms into public places, including bars, nightclubs, schools, churches and government buildings.

“People who follow the rules can protect themselves and their families from people who don’t follow the rules,” Deal said, according to the Atlanta-Journal Constitution. “The Second Amendment should never be an afterthought. It should reside at the forefronts of our minds.”

The National Rifle Association has praised the bill as “the most comprehensive pro-gun reform legislation introduced in recent state history” and called it a “historic victory for the second amendment.” Americans for Responsible Solutions, a gun control organization started by former Rep. Gabrille Giffords (D-Ariz.), fought to defeat the bill, calling it “the most extreme gun bill in America.”

Colin Goddard, a survivor of the 2007 Virginia Tech shooting who now works with the advocacy group Everytown For Gun Safety, called the bill “unprecedented.”

“The Stand Your Ground expansion is truly a new type of Stand Your Ground as we know it,” Goddard said of the measure, which some critics dubbed the “guns everywhere” bill. “To expand it in such a way to remove all carrying or possession offenses is really unprecedented.”

No wonder people don’t fucc with Republicans.

Keke Palmer Lands New Talk Show On BET

Keke Palmer is hoping her legion of young fans will support her latest endeavor – hosting her own talk show on BET.

The Keke Palmer Project is the current name of the network’s newest daily talk show aimed at the millennial generation – and with Palmer at the helm, the 20-year-old actress/singer is poised to become the youngest talk show host in TV history.

The show is scheduled to start airing during a four-week test run that will produce shows Monday through Friday beginning in July, Deadline reports.

Palmer will invite celebrities to join her for sit-down interviews while the show will also include various segments on topics ranging from pop culture to social issues.

The show will be produced by Telepictures and Mathis Productions, a company owned by Judge Greg Mathis.

Palmer’s show joins BET’s other black-female-run syndicated talk shows like The Wendy Williams Show and The Queen Latifah Show. Telepictures’ own panel talk show The Real is also set to join the Viacom-owned network line-up this fall.

Over the years, Palmer has built a stellar resume which boasts roles in films and shows like Akeelah and the Bee and True Jackson, VP.

She is a a four-time BET Awards nominee, an award winner of the network’s Young Stars award and currently stars in Showtime’s drama Masters of Sex.

NYC Woman Sues After $250K Hair Implants Leave Her Bald

Some poor unfortunate lady lost all her hair after trying to thicken up what she had!

According to NY Post reports:

A Manhattan woman is suing claiming an implant procedure left her permanently bald.

Deborah Betesh, 56, forked over $250,000 for the too-good-to-be-true treatment from a Midtown company called Microdot, she says in her $15 million Manhattan civil suit.

When the procedure, which required surgically implanting hair into her scalp, left bald patches instead of the promised head of healthy hair, a Microdot staffer tried to weave more hair into Betesh’s remaining strands, the suit says.
That too fell out.

The company employee who performed the medical procedure was only licensed in cosmetology, the suit says.

Betesh, who lives in Murray Hill, eventually had to buy a “permanent artificial wig for several thousands of dollars,” according to court papers.

She underwent the treatments from April 2012 to April 2014 after Microdot pledged to give her “the hair of her dreams,” the suit says.

“Not only would Microdot technique exactly match the color and texture of her natural hair, it would allow her to among other things, wash her hair, use a curling iron or even put it in a ponytail,” the company pledged to Betesh, according to court papers.

The treatment has a history of unhappy customers. The Better Business Bureau has received 10 complaints in the past three years for “problems with product/service.”

Hey, on the bright side nobody will ever refer to her as a “nappyheaded ho.” But seriously, how didn’t she do the research ahead of time to discover all they were working with was a cosmetology license?

(Street Life CIty News) Jay Z owns his own master recordings of all of his albums, legally. However, an opportunistic former engineer of his, Chauncey Mahan has attempted to obtain $100,000 in exchange for master recording tapes of Jay Z songs from 1998-2002.

Mahan had possession of the tapes for over a decade in a Northridge, California storage facility. This past Friday (April 18th), Mahan contacted Live Nation requesting the $100,000 as a “storage fee” for the recordings. Live Nation arranged the meeting and then informed the Los Angeles Police Department of Mahan’s actions. 

Mahan was not arrested but was detained and taking in for questioning. Reportedly Live Nation filed a grand larceny complaint against Mahan since the master recordings went missing in 2002.

Mahan is credited for engineering on albums for Terror Squad, Beanie Sigel, 112 and others over a 15 year span. Hours after the news of Mahan’s alleged extortion, frequent Jay Z collaborator, Just Blaze shed light on Mahan’s relationship with Jay.

On his personal Twitter account, Just Blaze spoke on Mahan’s ineptitude as a producer, most notably on Jay Z’s The Dynasty album:

6-Year-Old Boy Accidentally Shoots And Kills Woman

This is so tragic.

According to Raw Story:

A 6-year-old boy accidentally shot and killed a South Carolina woman after finding a gun in the back seat of a car.

Investigators said the boy shot 22-year-old Alexandra Anita Santos, who was riding in the passenger seat of the car, on Thursday afternoon after finding the semiautomatic handgun.

Police said the boy was the son of the driver, who was described as a friend of Santos.

Authorities said the single shot went through the seat, struck the woman’s back, and traveled into her chest.

The car was moving at the time of the shooting, police said.

Investigators aren’t sure who owns the gun or why it was on the rear floorboard when the child found it.

We all have to do better when it comes to keeping these guns out of the hands of children.

Dame also praises Nas for going head-to-head with Jay when the Brooklyn emcee was one of the most popular rappers in the game.

“We were undefeated until Nas conquered the streak, so I got to give him props as a warrior,” added Dame. “That niggaa went up against Jay Z when Jay Z was at the height and came out victorious. So he’s a battle rap God warrior.”

Virginia Man Arrested For Stealing Womans Dentures

A heartsick Virginia man was arrested Thursday for snatching a woman’s dentures out of her mouth, allegedly because she shot down his romantic advances.

Linwood Harris, 63, of Richmond, was facing robbery charges after cops said he reached into the woman’s mouth and pulled out her false teeth during an attack at her apartment on Tuesday night.

The bizarre incident appeared to be a case of fatal dental attraction.

The victim said Harris had a crush on her and bought her the dentures in an attempt to woo her after she lost her teeth in a car crash a year and a half ago, local CBS 6 reported.

No $200 date, no flowers, no romantic walks on the beach. This ninja tried to bag ol’ girl by copping DENTURES!

The woman said Harris was smitten with her, but she’d made it clear she wasn’t interested.

“I hadn’t been able to afford dentures,” the woman told CBS 6 earlier this week.

“He says to me, ‘You’re a pretty girl, but I see you feel self-conscious about not having your teeth,’” she said.

“And he said, ‘I want to surprise you. I’m going to buy dentures for you,’” she said.

Harris picked up the tab for the false chompers at a local Affordable Dentures shop.

Awww, wasn’t that sweet of him?

“I told him I think it’s best you just don’t call me anymore because you constantly ring my phone, you come over here knocking on my door and I don’t like it,” she said.

The woman said she found Harris waiting for her outside her apartment when she went to do her laundry at 7 p.m. Tuesday.
