(Street Life City News) Floyd “Money” Mayweather left the MGM Grand Garden Arena the victor in his bout against Marcos Maidana Saturday night, but according to reports numerous spectators left the event as victims of a stampede that broke out at the casino.

The Las Vegas Fire Department told Yahoo Sports that 20-40 people were injured from the melee that apparently began when fans tried to leave the arena through a small passageway. An estimated 300-400 people began rushing through the space causing others to be trampled.

The Las Vegas Sun reports an eyewitness said  “five or six” fights broke out with Metro Police, and another two security guards were hurt.

There were rumors that a gun being fired caused the massive rush to exit the venue, but investigators claim those reports cannot be corroborated. MGM is excepted to release a statement about the post-fight stampede today.

The story first broke as several observers posted about the incident on Twitter.

Pregnant Chicago Woman Fatally Stabs Boyfriend For Not Buying Her Gifts

A judge set bail today at $1 million for a pregnant woman accused of fatally stabbing her boyfriend at their Southwest Side home after they fought because the man didn’t’ buy anything for her at a shopping mall.

Judge Maria Kuriakos Ciesil set the bail for Miata Phelan, 24, of the 6800 block of South Talman Avenue, who is charged with first-degree murder.

The visibly pregnant Phelan, who appeared in court today wearing pink sweat pants with black stripes, a pink top, and black leather jacket, allegedly plunged a knife into Larry Martin’s left flank on April 30, prosecutors said.

Martin, 28, is the father of her unborn child and they lived together.

How did it all pop off? Well…

Before the stabbing happened, Phelan, Martin, Martin’s 8-year-old son and 25-year-old cousin, a man, went shopping at a shopping mall. On the way home, Phelan accused Martin of being selfish because he bought things for his cousin and son but not for her, Asst. State’s Attorney Glen Runk said.

Court records show Phelan turned 24 on May 1.

Runk said Phelan struck Martin while he was driving, almost causing an accident, and after Phelan drove to Martin’s mother’s home to drop off shoes for Martin’s brother, she kicked and scratched Martin before driving away in his car, leaving Martin, his 8-year-old and Martin’s cousin outside.

The three walked to the couple’s nearby apartment and when Phelan arrived about the same time, she and Martin began arguing again and she locked the three outside, Runk said.

Martin banged on the door until she opened it and once inside, Phelan stabbed Martin in his side with a knife, Runk said.

According to witeness report, Phelan said:

“This is what you get for messing with me,’’ Runk said, quoting Phelan. “I hope you die, mother f—–,”

Naturally, this type of thing will spark outrage toward the the murderous soon-to-be-mom, but she just threw away her life for nothing.

Asst. Public Defender Lisa Brean said Phelan is a life-long resident of Chicago, who is eight classes away from receiving a bachelor’s degree in public relations from Columbia College in Chicago. Brean said she is pregnant with the victim’s child and surrendered herself to police.

Miata will likely spend the rest of her life in prison (if she’s not given the death penalty), where she’ll deliver her child. SMFH.

(Street Life City News) People have been claiming Nelly did his friend Floyd Mayweather wrong by going on a date with his ex-fiancé. A week after Nelly was spotted with Floyd Mayweather’s ex-fiancé at a Miami Heat playoff game, Nelly addresses the incident for the first time.

On his personal Instagram account, Nelly posted a picture of a long message detailing why himself and Floyd Mayweather were never really friends.According to Nelly, outside of the occasional chance meeting at clubs around America, him and Mayweather never had any communication. Nelly claims they never exchanged phone numbers, had lunch or any of the normal activities that friends would partake in. Nelly claims Mayweather never even invited him to a fight, however Mayweather did spend quality time with someone close to Nelly:

Floyd could be confusing his relationship with me with his relationship with my ex with whom he has exchanged numbers and has flown personally to attend his weekend in Michigan which I wasn’t invited to (guess I wasn’t in the circle of friends then lol)

Nelly then toook to his personal Twitter account to imply that infuriating Mayweather was “to easy”:

On how she felt about Mimi releasing a freaky flick:

Just disappointed and I didn’t like it. I think it was a very selfish act.

Mimi’s her own person and makes her own decisions and she has to live with them not me.

On whether or not her relationship with mama Dee has improved:
I’m not even around enough for her to disrespect me. We’ve seen each other a couple of times and it’s like a ‘H’i and ‘Bye.’ Things have been cool. I’ve accepted her for who she is.

No. There was no rekindling. We were engaged, that’s nothing you play with. We were on the verge of getting married and you still messing with other women. Are you serious? Why even propose?
