T.I. On Funk Flex Show Explains How He Ended The Rick Ross and Jeezy Beef (VIDEO)
(Street Life City News) Who says a Trouble Man can’t make a great peacemaker.
A day after Rick Ross and Jeezy officially ended their beef with the release of their Mastermind collaboration “War Ready”, T.I. has emerged as the man who emerged as the mediator. According to reports, T.I. spoke with TMZ and explained that he talked with Jeezy and all the parties agreed that a union would be mutually beneficial monetarily and too much negativity had been placed on the feud.
This is not the first time T.I. attempted to resolve this issue between the two rap superstars. Two years ago at the BET Hip Hop Awards, T.I. had a sit down meeting with the two of them scheduled prior to their infamous physical altercation. T.I. explained this during a Funkmaster Flex interview in December of 2012:
That party was supposed to be a sit down, where both of them were supposed to come to the table and sit down at that table…and burying that hatchet. Prior to then, there had anything except conversations. When it’s all about conversation then we can sit down and talk about this and issues can be resolved.

10 Hip-Hop Heads George Zimmerman Should Get In The Boxing Ring
By now you have read the headlines about George Zimmerman and DMX. The pair will supposedly square off in a three round “celebrity boxing” event for PPV. The announcement comes on as many reminisce on the short life of Trayvon Martin, who Zimmerman killed two years ago at the age of 17. Now, DMX recently revealed that he’s not 100% confirmed for this fight so we”ll see.
But, it looks like Zimmerman wants to also metaphorically kill another brother too, right? It sure seems like it to me because DMX’s topsy turvy career and life cannot withstand a domeshot like this right now. We need him stronger and healthier with his mind on his music and family.
That said, I believe there are several other opponents that George Zimmerman could consider, rap guys that would make this “bout” infinitely more interesting. And we could even feel that there’s some justice served as well.
THE GAME
The Game has “the game” on lock in several ways, but one of them is simply that he cares. He got Trayvon Martin tatted on his body and he’s passionate about African American people. Moreover, he’s passionate – perhaps to a fault – about justice. And when he sees wrong, he’s the type to make it right. Unlike some of the other rappers, he’s going to beat Zimmerman to a pulp and also pay homage to Trayvon. There is a reason why Zimmerman accepted and then rejected The Game as a prospect.
TREACH
One time Treach of Naughty By Nature rapped “Guard your grill knuckle up, I ain’t the type to give up.” Treach is swift with his blows and even though he’s a bit older, he’s very much in shape. Lastly, he used to carry a chainsaw so perhaps he’d consider dusting it off and chopping Zimmerman up into little pieces for rapid dogs to consume. Freddie Foxx has been knocking out dudes for decades. His hands are like sledgehammers and his nickname is Bumpy Knuckles. Zimmerman wouldn’t last a round with Bump. In fact, Bumpy used to box a bit and knocked a few rapper dudes out in the 1990′s. But, these days he’s still into martial arts and isometrics. He’s pretty much a nightmare if you are on the wrong side of his generally cool temperament.
WILLIE D
Now, Willie D of the Geto Boys is the sort of dude that would kill George Zimmerman in the ring, which means you need a REALLY good ref. Why? Lets start off by saying that Willie was one a professional boxer. But, he also has a decidedly deep moral compass, especially when it comes to racial inequities. They don’t call him “Wille Handz” for nothing. He wrote a song called “F**k The KKK” for God’s sake and a songCOMMON
I noticed George Zimmerman tried to call out Kanye West. See, Zimmerman is a punk and he’s only picking people he thinks he can beat. That’s his M.O. Enter Common. To the average dolt, i.e. Zimmerman, he looks to be comparable to Kanye West. The only thing is people that know Common know that Com has a storied history in ChiTown that would make him a great candidate to serve up Zimmerman an arse-whipping on a platter.

His name says it all. But, Micheal Render is also extremely smart so after he does away with George Zimmerman, he’s also going to educate the crowd on why he had to do it and educate Americans on racial injustice.ICE CUBE
People think Ice Cube has softened up over the years, but catch him when the bright lights are no longer on him, that guy gets serious! You just don’t re-program some of the stuff that Cube has rapped about. He’d totally kick Zimmerman’s butt.
ADISA BANJOKO
Adisa Banjoko is a name that only the purest Hip-Hop aficionado knows, but he’s the real deal. Decidedly a man of peace, he’s also an accomplished MMA fighter. Now, he’s not the guy that is going to beat Zimmerman to a pulp, but he may take the boxing match to the floor. Yeah, he’ll leave with Zimmerman’s limbs in a bag and then go play chess with The RZA. (Seriously, Adisa’s already stated on the record that this whole fiasco is a bad idea.)NOBODY
The 10th is NOBODY. George Zimmerman, a trained MMA enthusiast, opted to shoot a kid instead of putting his hands and body to use. Basically, he doesn’t deserved to get acclaim in the ring when he’s not built like that at all. So, basically nobody should fight him. He’s not worth it.

I mean, how great is this couple? Beyoncé shared a video of her jumping off a yacht into the ocean and it’s absolutely fantastic. It’s only 15 seconds but let’s analyze it. J. Cole Speaks on Dreamville/Interscope Records Deal For The First Time
(Street Life City News) J. Cole is an acclaimed rapper, producer and is now throwing his hat in the record executive ring.
Following his Madison Square Garden show last night (January 29th) Cole spoke with Forbes about his newly announced label deal with Interscope for his Dreamville imprint. Cole spoke on how his musical talents can work complimentary to his upcoming executive obligations:
As an executive it gives me the opportunity to sign acts and break them, but as a producer it allows me to produce someone’s entire album and put it out – that’s what I really look forward to
Dreamville’s roster includes Bas, Omen and KQuick and were featured on the The Revenge of the Dreamers mixtape Cole released in conjunction with the label deal news. The imprint was started in 2007 and Cole says learning the inner workings of the music industry is the reason Dreamville took almost seven years to launch commercially:
This is a result of years of learning and figuring this game out,” said Cole. “It’s not an overnight thing but every time you make it up a level you still appreciate and remember level one.

Lil Boosie Confirms February Release; Addresses False Bookings Under His Name
(Street Life City News) News broke this week that incarcerated rapper Torrence “Lil Boosie” Hatch is scheduled to be released from prison this month. Boosie is now speaking out for the first time about his pending freedom.
Boosie contacted his publicist Chew Davis of Von Chew Media & Entertainment to release a statement on his behalf. The Superbad performer confirms he will be home by the end of the February, but he does not want the exact date to become public for “safety concerns and protocols.”
The Louisiana native also wants to make it clear that despite reports he has been scheduled for appearances and shows, any bookings under his name that were not conducted by his brother/manager Taquari “TQ” Hatch or Johnnie Cabbell are not legit. Boosie does not have any booking agents.
“I can’t wait to get out and squash all that shit,” says Boosie.
Boosie adds that he has hundreds of songs written ready to be recorded. According to the rapper, his new material will be “real life music.” Fans will also get to see his “growth as a son, a father, a man and with the help of his brother TQ, a verified businessman.”
“I think the folks are waiting for my return to the game,” Boosie said.

THE LOX KICKS IT WITH THE BREAKFAST CLUB – POWER 105.1
(Street Life City News) Give Jadakiss and Styles P a microphone and whether a beat is on or not but something unexpected will be said. After explaining Macklemore winning the rap album Grammy’s over Kendrick Lamar as “60/40, the white man still win”, Jadakiss further explains his stance by claiming the Grammy’s are out of touch with Hip Hop:
Grammys ain’t Hip Hop. We they do the Hip Hop categories on the Grammy’s. Every nominee, only one or two are really Hip Hop.
Jadakiss also revealed that Def Jam did not want to “put the money up” for his song “Big Body Dialogue” released in May of 2013 Jada says The Lox have been free agents for “about two, three weeks.” While Jadakiss was voiced his hesitance to signing with an independent label, Styles P
I’m the opposite, man. I think with The Lox, our perfect situation would be an indie/major kind of movement.

Tyga Takes A $200K Loss In Court
(Street Life City News) Tyga has been ordered to pay $200,000 to a former jeweler for stealing his jewels.
The ruling was dropped last week after a suit was filed, according to a report by TMZ.
Jason of Beverly Hills sued Tyga last year because he said that the Young Money rapper didn’t pay $91k in jewelry that he bought in 2012. Additionally, Jason wanted a late fee applied because of the rapper’s delinquency.
A judge approved the late fee and ruled in favor of the plaintiff.
Tyga’s rep told TMZ that the whole matter is “all a misunderstanding.”

Young Money To Release “Young Money: The Rise Of An Empire” Compilation Album
(Street Life City News) The roster of Young Money Entertainment is set to return with a new compilation album. Young Money: Rise Of An Empire, the follow-up to 2009’s We Are Young Money, will feature appearances by YM CEO Lil Wayne, Drake, Nicki Minaj, Tyga, Gudda Gudda, Shanell, Lil Twist, Christina Milian, and the newest YMCMB signee Euro.
“This compilation is a very special release for the label. We Are Young Money helped launch the careers of our first generation of acts with Drake, Nicki Minaj, and Tyga,” states Young Money COO Cortez Bryant. “Even though we’ve been honored with accolades as a company, our hunger hasn’t diminished or dwindled. Rick Ross Announces New Song With Young Jeezy To Be On New Album
(Street Life CIty News) No matter what you do, you can not ban the snowman. After years of public feuding, Rick Ross announced today that Young Jeezy will be on his new album Mastermind.
In a promotional video for his upcoming album, Ross revealed the cover for the album. In addition, Ross announced that the Jeezy collaboration would be entitled “#WarReady”

Rapper Young Jeezy Arrested After Confrontation With Cops
(Street Life City News) Hip-Hop star Young Jeezy earned himself a trip to county jail earlier today after a run in with Atlanta police.
Police were responding to an alarm at his girlfriend’s house in Alpharetta, Georgia, when the incident took place.
According To TMZ.com, Young Jeezy refused to identify himself to the arriving officers and allegedly cussed them out.
Police claim the rapper also briefly resisted arrest during the incident, which resulted in Young Jeezy being charged with obstructing police officers.
Young Jeezy, born Jay Jenkins, was booked into the Fulton County jail.
It’s the second arrest for Young Jeezy this month.
The rap star was arrested for assault and battery after a confrontation with his 17-year-old son that turned into a physical fight

Young Buck Discusses G-Unit Reunion Rumors
(Street Life City News) Young Buck called into DJ Whoo Kid’s Shade 45 radio program to talk about various topics. One of the main points of interest for some rap fans is whether Buck is willingly to reunite with 50 Cent, Lloyd Banks, and Tony Yayo as the G-Unit. The recently freed Buck speaks on his current situation with G-Unit and 50.
“This is not a G-Unit reunion. It’s not me signing with G-Unit,” explains Buck. “I haven’t even spoke with 50 in years. I wish him all the best. I don’t got no ill will in me. I was taught from the very beginning, you can forgive, but don’t forget.”
Buck also announces that his bankruptcy situation has been officially settled. According to Buck, he paid off his debts while still in prison and went on to buy back some of his items confiscated during an IRS raid.
“I paid my own bankruptcy off from the penitentiary,” says Buck. “My picture was being painted as if Buck is broke and Buck ain’t got s**t, but in reality Buck been straight for a long time.”
Buck also shares that several people in the Hip Hop community reached out to him while he was still locked up and after he was released. He was contacted by 2 Chainz, Drumma Boy, Birdman, The Game, Snoop Dogg, Jeezy, B.G., Lil Boosie, and Big Meech to name a few.
Buck’s also looking to connect with Dr. Dre and Eminem. He mentions that he would like to work Kendrick Lamar and Ice Cube as well. Buck plans to release a project featuring his recent remixes in the near future.

Jay Z & Beyonce Set To Perform At The 2014 Grammys
(Street Life City News) Well, of course. After days of speculation, CBS’ commercial last night (January 19th) confirmed that both Jay Z and Beyonce will perform at the 55th Annual Grammy Awards.
The CBS Superstars! commercial promises that the Carters will be joined by performance from John Legend, Bruno Mars, Taylor Swift, Hunter Hayes, Lorde and Katy Perry within the first hour of the telecast.
Beyonce performances rumors have been popping up in the last week. Last Friday (January 17th) it was rumored that Madonna would join Beyonce for her Grammy performance which was unannounced at the time. Days earlier it was rumored that Beyonce would perform with Jay Z at the Direct TV’s Super Bowl concert on February 1st after Jay was announced as the event’s headliner.
The 55th annual Grammy Awards will be hosted by LL Cool J and will air on CBS on January 26th.

Somebody recently said that the new Kanye West album is going to have only about 8 song on it. This perplexed me until I heard the latest rumor. I am hearing that Jay and Kanye are gearing up for Watch The Throne 2. I don’t have a lot of info, but the last we heard about this, Kanye said that was a ways off. But, he also said that he and Jay are always working. And this is where my rumor probably stems from. Somebody told me they are working on it…but maybe they are just “working.”I think its a good idea to get it roccin’ – these guys are aging like fine wine…but aging nonetheless!!!
